The HDMI® 10.2G & IR Cat.6 Extender with PoC & Loop Out, 70 m from Lindy is an easy-to-use solution that allows users to extend HDMI® signals up to 70 m using a single Cat.6 U/UTP cable (not included). For added convenience, IR signals (20–60 kHz) can also be extended using the included IR emitter and receiver cables.
Supporting 4K resolutions up to 3840×2160 @30Hz, 4:4:4, 8-bit, video content can be displayed with excellent clarity over distances of up to 70 m, making it ideal for a wide range of AV and digital signage applications, including residential, education, business, retail, and healthcare environments.
This extender features an HDMI® loop-out port on the transmitter for simultaneous local viewing, allowing connection of a local display for monitoring or for creating an additional viewing zone. To ensure maximum compatibility when two displays are connected, EDID data—defining supported video and audio formats—can be copied from either the local display connected to the transmitter or the remote display connected to the receiver.
Power over Cable (PoC) technology allows the extender to operate using a single power supply connected to the transmitter, enabling the receiver to be installed in locations where access to power outlets is limited—ideal for clean, minimalist installations. In addition to PoC functionality, the slim design of the units makes installation easier in confined spaces, such as behind flat-panel displays or TVs.
Note: The stated distances and resolutions are achievable with a direct connection between transmitter and receiver using a high-quality solid-core Cat.6 cable. Using different cable types, or introducing wall plates, couplers, or patch panels, may reduce the maximum specified distances.
