Twiga Porto Cervo: The Exclusive and Powerful Sound of Void Acoustics

At Twiga Porto Cervo, sound is an integral part of the experience, and it is here that Void Acoustics has found the perfect stage to showcase its versatility.

As resident sound engineer Pietro Loi (DjLOI, foto in basso), who curated the installation and the project together with Dario Juka and Sergio Caio, explains: “I'm the Twiga sound engineer: I oversee the Void Acoustics system in its operational phase, supervising its performance across all areas of the venue to ensure consistently optimal results. My background as a professional DJ allows me to address the needs of both top-tier DJs and the musicians performing in the restaurants.”

The entire venue is sonorized, from the main rooms to the secondary spaces, divided into three independent yet interconnected macro-zones: the Club, the Casa Fiori Chiari restaurant, and the Vesta restaurant. This modular architecture offers maximum flexibility, such as broadcasting the club’s audio into the restaurants or vice versa, while maintaining a coherent experience.

In the Club, the setup includes two Stasys Xair subwoofers delivering deep bass, four Air Vantage mid-highs with high directivity, one Venu 215 and three Venu 212 for low-mid reinforcement, along with six Cyclone 10 and two Cyclone 8 as distributed fills. The DJ booth is also fully equipped with Void Acoustics: two Arcline 118 subs topped with ArcM 15, providing festival-level monitoring with a linear response extending into the sub-bass range.

At the Casa Fiori Chiari restaurant, the soundscape is more delicate, created by six Cyclone 8 compact loudspeakers with excellent natural performance at low volume. The Vesta restaurant employs a more layered system, with five Cyclone 208 and nine Cyclone 55, plus a dedicated booth composed of one Cyclone 10 and one Cyclone Bass. Corridors and service areas were not overlooked: these are covered by Cyclone 55 and Cyclone 8, ensuring continuity of the sonic experience throughout the venue.

From an infrastructure perspective, the system uses all-analog cabling for reliability, paired with fully digital control. Each macro-zone has its own rack with integrated matrix, distributing signals to the amplifiers or routing to other areas as needed.

Void Acoustics amplifiers with built-in DSP handle filtering, alignment, and limiting—removing the need for external processors. Control is managed via remote software, a dedicated app, and local controllers.

“The cabling is entirely analog for maximum reliability, but management is fully digital. With zone controllers, the dedicated app, and remote software, we can adjust in real time—even off-site—ensuring flexibility and safety in every context,” emphasizes Loi.

From an acoustic perspective, performance is finely tuned: in the club, average levels reach around 105 dB(A), with subs comfortably extending below 35 Hz, delivering an intense, physical bass experience for the audience. In the restaurants, calibration maintains a range of 80–85 dB(A), ensuring intimacy and comfort in conversation without sacrificing musical quality or detail.

Performer feedback has been extremely positive.
“DJs are impressed by the power, precision, and uniformity of the system. The dedicated booth has been especially appreciated, allowing performers to work in optimal conditions with faithful, uncompromising monitoring. The most common reaction is: ‘It sounds exactly like a high-end club should.’ And that is precisely the standard we aimed for,” says Pietro Loi.

The result is a Void Acoustics system that combines power, elegance, and versatility. With homogeneous sound in every space, a design that enhances the exclusivity of the venue, and advanced yet intuitive system management, Twiga Porto Cervo stands out as one of the Mediterranean’s most cutting-edge clubs—capable of satisfying both discerning audiences and world-class artists.
