Twiga Munich: Sound Power for International Clubbing

In Monte Carlo, Twiga—renewed in its restaurant area under the name Vesta—stands as a true symbol of luxury nightlife. Here, compromise is not an option: every technical effort is aimed at delivering maximum energy to an international clientele accustomed to the highest standards.

At the heart of the system is a Void Acoustics installation built around the powerful Air Vantage loudspeakers, supported by high-performance subwoofers. Each of the two DJ booths is equipped with an Air Vantage flanked by two 18-inch subs per side, a setup designed to deliver outstanding sound pressure on the dancefloor.

The system's primary use is clubbing, at high volumes and with sounds typical of large festivals. However, there are also live music evenings, and in these cases the musician has access to a monitoring system designed for DJs.

"DJs like to have the system's horn practically aimed at their ears, which, on the other hand, isn't a perfect solution for a musician," explains Stefano Coccia of Vibra Service, emphasizing how the system was designed and conceived for electronic music, rather than live performances.

Twiga’s line-ups leave no doubt: Anyma, Adriatique, Claptone, Marco Carola, and other top-tier artists take turns at the decks. This requires a highly flexible technical infrastructure. “When DJs or bands of this caliber arrive, you must be ready to reconfigure everything, even overnight,” explains Stefano Coccia of Vibra Service.

On the operational front, general management remains the responsibility of the local technical staff, who handle routine maintenance, realignments, and replacements. The system, originally installed by another company, was subsequently fine-tuned and is now meticulously maintained, including through periodic upgrades. Void Acoustics power amplifiers remain the heart of the amplification chain.

Aside from some limitations in live performance, the choice of brand is no coincidence. Void Acoustics guarantees a dramatic design, robust materials, and weather resistance, particularly important for venues overlooking the sea. "Void Acoustics uses stainless steel for screws and bolts, details that make a difference when you work year-round in environments exposed to salt air," explains Sergio Caio, Sound & System Engineer at Skeldon.

The partnership with Frenexport, exclusive distributor of Void Acoustics in Italy, completes the picture: fast support, spare parts availability, and expert assistance keep the system performing at the highest levels—perfectly aligned with Twiga’s uncompromising standards.
