EMF Lightning Experience 2026: Centolight's lighting architecture and pixel mapping reshape the Colle dell'Infinito

The combination of historical and natural heritage with technological innovation found a remarkable new expression on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, in the evocative setting of the Colle dell'Infinito Park in Recanati, where the EMF Lightning Experience took place—an exclusive, limited-capacity event blending electronic music, DJ performances and cutting-edge lighting design.

Organized by Sound&More in close collaboration with the Municipality of Recanati, the event featured emerging artists from the Marche music scene before reaching its climax with a performance by guest artist Nicola Pigini. The true visual signature of the event, however, came from the sophisticated lighting system built around Centolight professional fixtures.

The strongest visual impact undoubtedly came from the Centolight Lightblaster L720 LED strobe and wash bars. Strategically positioned along the park's pathways and key locations, they delivered an extremely powerful white strobe effect that saturated the atmosphere and pierced the darkness of the Hill in perfect synchronization with the electronic music beats.

From a technical standpoint, the Lightblaster L720 achieves this impressive output through an advanced hybrid light source featuring 480 RGB 3-in-1 LEDs combined with 240 high-brightness white LEDs. The division of the emitting surface into 40+20 independently controllable zones enabled lighting designers to create complex pixel-mapping effects and smooth color transitions thanks to DMX control with up to 140 channels, while the adjustable 0-30Hz high-speed strobe transformed the natural environment into an almost three-dimensional, ultra-modern visual experience.

Completing and structuring the lighting design of EMF 2026 were the Centolight Spire X28 Pro moving heads, a fixture that proved perfectly suited to the logistical and scenic requirements of the venue, where compact and lightweight setups (only 12 kg per fixture) had to be combined with uncompromised beam performance.

Powered by a high-efficiency Philips 280W lamp and featuring an ultra-narrow 2° beam angle, the Spire X28 Pro generated razor-sharp beams that cut through the sky above Recanati. Lighting professionals fully exploited the fixture's dynamic capabilities by combining the independently rotating dual prism with morphing and multi-ray effects, together with the 7-color filter, to project striking geometric patterns and multiple beams onto the surrounding trees and architecture. The visual design was further enhanced by a 17-slot static gobo wheel, a 14-color dichroic wheel, a Frost system for smooth transitions in hybrid Wash mode, and a precision mechanical shutter delivering 0-20Hz high-speed strobe effects, all integrated with ultra-fast 16-bit PAN/TILT movement.

The EMF Lightning Experience 2026 demonstrated how architectural and entertainment lighting can enhance a historical site without altering its identity, instead emphasizing its intrinsic beauty through light.

The park became a living canvas where the blinding flashes of the Lightblaster L720 and the geometric precision of the Spire X28 Pro moved in harmony with the DJ performance, contributing to the technical and artistic success of one of the Marche region's most exclusive electronic music events.
