RAVENSCRY TRUST IN LEWITT

RAVENSCRY CHOOSE LEWITT

Ravenscry were born in 2008, near Milan, from the encounter between guitarist Paul Raimondi (Hyperion ex-drummer), Fagio
on bass and Simon Carminati behind the drums, joined shortly thereafter by guitarist Mauro Paganelli and singer Giulia Stefani.

In March 2009 the band recorded the entire repertoire at Fear Studio in Ravenna (Italy) with Simone Mularoni (Empyrios, DGM) and Simone Bertozzi (Mnemic, Empyrios, The Modern Age Slavery). The work was completed with the vocal parts recorded at Suonovivo (Bergamo, Italy) with Dario Ravelli. All of the material was mixed at Sound of Pisces in Los Angeles
by Fabrizio Grossi (Steve Vai, Steve Lukather, Slash, Laura Pausini, Cypress Hill, Alice Cooper as well as labels like EMI and Warner) and mastered by Tom Baker (Judas Priest, Sevendust, Marilyn Manson, Megadeth and many others).
In 2010 Ravenscry presented Nobody’s official video
directed by Salvatore Perrone (former director for bands like Exilia, From Autumn to Ashes, August Burns Red, Sick Of It All to name few) and signed to  Wormholedeath/Dreamcell11 for the publishing and distribution of the first full length album entitled One Way Out, which was available on April 15th 2011 and was officially presented with a Release Party at Zoe Club
in Milan.
After touring across UK and Belgium, the broadcasting of Nobody on japan FM radio Coast FM, Ravenscry
signed to the Swedish label The Trip Records Sweden, owned by Peter Uvén (April Divine) and started One Way Out Scandinavian Tour 2011, playing three weeks in Sweden and Finland, stopping by the legendary club Pub Anchor in Stockholm too.

In 2012 One Way Out was released in Japan for Hydrant Music and Calliope official video was also released.

Their style is deliberately modern and integrates influences of components very different from one another: rock, metal, but at the same time leaves room for new influences, such as electronics. The themes of the lyrics are numerous and strong: the base is a cry of protest against a system where meritocracy does not exist and the sacrifice has often an illusory purpose; difficult relationships between parents and children, but also finding themselves, physical pleasure and alienation. Nothing is left out, because music is life and should tell every aspect of it.

Ravenscry played at PPM FEST 2014in Belgium and their new album, titled The Attraction of Opposites, has been released on May 27th, 2014.
