38174 HDMI 2.0 Fiber Optic Extender

This HDMI® & IR Extender allows 4K 60Hz Ultra HD signals to be transmitted over long distances that are not achievable with a standard network cable, using a single LC simplex fiber optic cable. It supports HDMI® 2.0 specifications for high-quality signal transmission at resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, employing intelligent compression technology that decompresses the signal at the receiver for lossless signal display. It supports HDR (High-Dynamic Range) signals for viewing video content with a wider color gamut, brighter colors, and improved contrast, making it ideal for professional digital signage and retail installations. HDCP 2.2 compatibility ensures playback of protected content, including movies and TV shows, without any issues. Unlike extenders that use copper network cables, fiber optic cables provide immunity to RF and EMI interference, ensuring a stable signal even in critical environments, such as industrial applications with electromagnetic interference. 

Its support for very long distances—up to 1000 m—offers excellent flexibility. The transmitter can be connected to various HDMI® sources such as Blu-Ray players, 4K HDR media players, PCs, etc., and placed freely, while the receiver can be positioned near a 4K monitor or projector. The included side mounting brackets allow units to be secured, for example, under a desk or behind a monitor.

It includes bidirectional IR and RS-232 interfaces for source management via the remote control even from a distance and for controlling the monitor from the transmitter, providing full user control. Alternatively, when IR is not used, it supports the transmission of RS-232 serial signals.
