Small but mighty – that's how the new Soundsation WF-U400 True Diversity UHF wireless microphone systems are described in a nutshell. Each receiver, housed in a half-rack 19" metal case, can accommodate up to four reception channels. Each has its own color-changeable backlit display for easy recognition of the respective transmitter. A rack-mount kit also allows two receivers, for a maximum of eight channels in a single 19" rack.
In terms of audio quality, the system offers crystal-clear sound and flawless performance, even in crowded environments. Thanks to the True Diversity UHF reception circuit, the system controls two antennas for stable, uninterrupted audio. Furthermore, the 300 selectable frequencies, the PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) frequency synthesis ensures consistent, interference-free performance even up to 16 channels simultaneously, provided they are well distributed between the approximately 40MHz of the A1 (516-558MHz) and A2 (626-668MHz) bands, and in the absence of large physical obstacles.
With a range of 40 to 60 meters (depending on interference and obstacles), automatic or manual frequency scanning options, and a quick infrared pairing procedure, the WF-400 systems are designed for easy setup and use.
The handheld transmitter, sturdy yet unobtrusive, features an LCD display with color-changing backlighting depending on the channel it is paired to. The professional dynamic capsule has a cardioid polar pattern and is suitable for both singing and simple close-up vocal pickup.
The compact and lightweight pocket transmitter features a flesh-colored headband microphone with a cardioid condenser capsule. The connection is via a 3-pin mini-XLR. Like the handheld microphone, the bodypack also has an LCD display with color-changing backlighting depending on the channel it is paired to.
The Soundsation WF-U400 systems therefore allow you to cover an infinite number of audio micing applications where many channels, high reliability and maximum ease of use are required.
